Install Nvidia Driver in Debian Squeeze

Più che altro una raccolta di appunti per x86 , che il tempo mi ha lasciato e ora voglio rimettere insieme .
Cosa sono i driver Nvidia ? Sono driver propietari che vengono distribuiti con una licenza

NVIDIA UNIX graphics drivers, 195.36.08 bug ?

After posting the 196.75 NVIDIA Windows graphics driver, NVIDIA reported the following message:
Quote:We are aware that some customers have reported fan speed issues with
the latest 196.75 WHQL drivers on NVIDIA.com. Until we can verify and
root cause this issue, we recommend that customers stay with, or return
to 196.21 WHQL drivers. Release 196.75 drivers have been temporarily
removed from our website.We believe recent NVIDIA UNIX graphics drivers, 195.36.08 and 195.36.03, are also affected by this. Until the problem is resolved, we recommend that UNIX users revert to the 190.53 web release or the 195.30 public beta.
We are in the process of removing 195.36.08 and 195.36.03 from NVIDIA’s FTP site.
We will post more information as it is available.

Debian + 2.6.30 + Skype problemi webcam
Pubblicato il agosto 31st, 2009 13 commentiSono passato da pochi giorni al kernek 2.6.30 sulla mia Debian testing (Squeeze)
Al riavvio , ho trovato subito alcuni problemi :
- Driver video non funzionanti
- Modulo di virtualbox
- riconoscimento webcam con skype
Con un’attimo di pazienza ho risolto tutto , e il sistema ora è tornato a funzionare perfettamente con il nuovo kernel.
Non ho notato per ora grossi miglioramenti passando dal 2.6.26 al 2.6.30 , il mio hardware è rimasto lo stesso da 2 anni e non avevo alcun problema di riconoscimento delle periferiche.

Ricompilare modulo NVIDIA per altro kernel

sulla mia Debian testing
mi sono ritrovato con il nuovo Kernel installato
Ma al primo riavvio non trovava il modulo
dei driver Nvidia compilato.
Per risolvere il problema ………………………..
