Currently ongoing projects are 2:

• D4C-Debian for children / Debian for kids - links
• D4T-trashware for Debian / Debian trashware - link

Updates are periodci and when they occur this page will follow the developments.

Both distributions derived from Debian Lenny, currently version 5.0.8) and will also use the default kernel 2.6.26 and the 2.6.32 kernel backported to both 32-bit systems.

The DE is the default KDE 3.5.10 in Italian.

Minimum requirements:

• P3 450 MHz processor
• 128 MB RAM
• Hard disk 4.5 GB

The differences are in the list of packages preinstalled, the D4C is now been installed in some machines to primary schools ( link ) and in addition to 'basic installation includes several applications of the educational branch ( list software ), while D4T is for the recovery PC intended for common use.
